Etruscan Vase Collection
Discover our refined Etruscan Vase Collection, where ancient ceramic art blends with modern functionality. Each 300ml handcrafted vase is the result of the mastery of a local artisan, a skilled craftsman who has been producing these unique pieces for us for years, keeping tradition alive in the region.
Lekythos Shape
The vases in our collection follow the classic Lekythos shape, which first appeared in Athens in the 12th century BC and was adopted by Etruscan potters between the 5th and 3rd centuries BC. This vase was primarily used to store scented oils and ointments. The unique shape of the Lekythos has allowed it to be reproduced in various materials like alabaster or marble, and it was used both domestically and by athletes in gymnasiums and funeral ceremonies.
Craftsmanship and Techniques
These vases are made of high-quality terracotta and are decorated with the extraordinary black-figure technique, typical of Etruscan ceramics from the 7th century BC. During kiln firing, the colors invert: black becomes red and red becomes black, revealing a fascinating color play. Each piece showcases the skill of our local artisan.

Kneading
In the kneading machine the olive paste is slowly and constantly stirred. The purpose is to favor the union of the micro-drops of oil, which would otherwise remain dispersed, making the subsequent extraction possible. It's here that temperature and time make the difference: too h...
Separator
After kneading, the olive paste passes to the centrifugal separator, where the oil is separated from the vegetable water and pomace. It's a fascinating step: from a dark and compact mass, the green and golden stream of new oil is finally born.
Decanting
Next follows natural decanting, a rest that allows the oil to clarify spontaneously. Here the experience of master millers counts more than machines: they know that oil left to decant too long risks losing freshness, while if bottled too early it can resu...
Bottling
After decanting, the oil is transferred into dark bottles that protect it from light and preserve its aromas. It's a moment of great care, because here the freshness achieved in the mill must remain intact until it reaches the table.
